Lethal, dangerous, and vicious; that pretty much sums up Muay Thai. Thailand’s form of boxing with the addition of kicks, knees, elbows and clinching. All limbs of the body are utilized for striking especially while in the clinch. The precision, momentum, and veracity that is thrown into the leg kicks can be detrimental to any adversary not defending or checking them. Life long Muay Thai practitioners spend countless hours kicking banana trees with there shins, to help strengthen and condition them. The fierce elbows pierce and penetrate just about any human bodily surface. Many professional MMA fighters travel directly to Thailand to experience the traditions while training Muay Thai, which have proven to have a major positive impact on the learning process.
