It’s been almost a year since the epic battle between UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon ‘Bones’Jones, 26W 1L 1NC, and top light heavyweight contender Thiago ‘Marreta’ Santos, 21W 7L. Santos was the first fighter to ever receive a winning score card against Jones, as Santos lost the match via split decision. Santos sustained injuries during their match forcing him to undergo surgery on both knees, which then stopped him from being able to train for several months. After an extensive rehabilitation, it appears Santos is ready to get back inside the octagon, and place himself back into title contention. Will we be seeing Santos on UFC Fight Island, and will he get another chance at beating arguable the greatest mixed martial artist of all time?
