On June 13, 2020, at UFC Vegas 2 in Las Vegas Nevada, UFC middleweight contender, Marvin ‘The Italian Dream’ Vettori, 15W 4L 1D, gets his third straight win inside the octagon, as he finishes Karl Roberson, 9W 3L, by submission via rear naked choke in the very first round. Vettori has been wanting to get his hands on Roberson for quite some time, as they were originally scheduled to fight on May 19th in Jacksonville. The fight was pulled from the card due to Roberson missing weight and sustaining health issues. Prior to that, Vettori had a fight scheduled in March that was also canceled, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, everyone was able to show up this time, even though Roberson missed weight, again. The submission victory earned Vettori the Performance of the Night bonus, putting some extra cash in his pocket for a very pleasant, and satisfying trip back home to Italy.
