It’s been just a little over a year since we’ve seen former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion, Rose “Thug” Namajunas, 8W 4L, take the walk to center stage and step inside the octagon. Rose will be going to UFC Fight Island for a rematch with her last opponent, also former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion, Jessica Andrade, 20W 7L. This match will be interesting as both women are coming off a championship loss. Rose has been a fan favorite for many years, since her UFC debut on the Ultimate fighter in 2014. She was one of the two women competing for the very first UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship, in which she lost the match to Carla Esparza. Since that loss, she’s won 6 out of 8 fights, won then defended the strawweight championship, and scored a bunch of accolades in 2017. Will we get to see Rose Namajunas fight for another championship if she can get through Andrade?
